In 2016, the E3 Trailer Battle launched through YouTube's website. It asked viewers to participate with E3 by watching and voting for the best video game trailers, earning prizes along the way. To encourage viewership and voting for the now annual trailer battle.
These items are all a tribute to game tropes of last five decades of gaming. Each item has a unique animation and collecting all 36 items triggers a special easter-egg animation. All the items come together to form an UltraMechaItemZord, piloted by a pizza-loving cat. Extra cheese, no anchovies.
